Faithful Pet Dog Dies After Owner's Funeral

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district on Monday, where a 15-year-old pet dog named Duggu died shortly after its owner's funeral procession began.

Duggu's owner, 67-year-old Pradeep Jain, passed away on Sunday after falling ill. His body was brought home from Bhopal later that night, and the dog became restless as soon as the body arrived.

According to the family, Duggu repeatedly tried to go near Pradeep Jain but was kept in another room due to the large number of people gathered at the house. He remained uneasy throughout the night, continuously barking.

On Monday morning, before the funeral, family members brought Duggu near Pradeep Jain's body, where he sat quietly beside his owner, looking at him for a long time before walking back inside the house.

As soon as the funeral procession left the house, Duggu walked around a room a few times, lay down, and died. When family members checked on him, they found that he had already passed away.

Pradeep Jain's brother, Dilip Jain, said that Duggu had been with the family for the last 15 years and was a beloved member. He used to wait for his owner every day and often ate meals with him.

Duggu was an Indian Spitz, a breed known for its strong bond with its family and deep loyalty to its owner. The family believes that the loyal dog couldn't bear the pain of losing his owner.

The family bid farewell to Duggu along with Pradeep Jain, cremating the owner at Ganj Mokshdham and burying Duggu nearby with respect.

This incident highlights the deep bond between humans and animals, showcasing the loyalty and love that pets have for their owners.

The death of Duggu has left the family in shock, and they are still trying to come to terms with the loss of their beloved pet and family member.

In the end, Duggu's loyalty and love for his owner will always be remembered by the family, and his memory will live on in their hearts.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of pets in our lives and the impact they have on our well-being and emotional health.

It also underscores the need to appreciate and cherish the time we have with our pets, as their love and loyalty are truly unconditional.
