An Indian Army jawan shot himself with his service rifle, police suspect domestic stress

A 41-year-old Indian Army jawan, Isendra Singh Bhadoria, died by suicide on Saturday morning while on security duty at the Air Force Station in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred around 7:45 am at Post-25 MMPU inside the Air Force Station.
Bhadoria, a resident of Bhind district, was posted as a General Duty (GD) soldier with the 300 DSC Platoon. He was carrying a 7.62 SLR rifle issued by the department when the incident took place. Fellow soldiers, who were deployed at the security post, heard gunfire and found Bhadoria lying injured on the ground.
The jawan was immediately taken to the Military Hospital (MH) in Murar, where doctors declared him dead. The bullets hit his chest and abdomen, leaving him with no chance of survival.
