Infosys CEO Lax Gopisetty Missing in Nepal Floods

Infosys, the Bengaluru-headquartered IT company, announced on Friday that its subsidiary Infosys Public Services' CEO, Lax Gopisetty, is currently unreachable following the devastating floods in Nepal. Gopisetty was visiting the region in a personal capacity.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reported that 153 Indian nationals stranded on the Chinese side have safely crossed over to Nepal, and 21 Indians have arrived in New Delhi after being rescued from the flood-affected areas.

Gopisetty, as the CEO of Infosys Public Services, advises public sector organizations on strategy, technology, operations, and transformation. He has a strong background in the industry, having previously worked as Global Vice President with Infosys and Head of Business Applications and Digital Workspace Service. Before joining Infosys, Gopisetty was a Managing Director at Accenture, where he led a segment of the Health and Public Services business in North America.
