Panipat Refinery Celebrates 28th Anniversary

The Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex, IndianOil's largest integrated petrochemical complex, celebrated its 28th Refinery Day on 12 July 2026.

The day's events began with a Prabhat Pheri, or morning walk, in the refinery's township, which was flagged off by M. L. Dahriya, Executive Director & Refinery Head. Over 300 residents, including school students, participated in the walk, showcasing the community's enthusiasm and camaraderie.

Following the walk, a tree plantation drive was held at the Rose Garden, highlighting the refinery's commitment to environmental sustainability. This initiative reflects the complex's dedication to reducing its ecological footprint and promoting a greener future.

A cake-cutting ceremony was also held at the Main Control Room of Panipat Naphtha Cracker, attended by senior leadership, representatives of the Officers' Association, and other dignitaries. During the ceremony, several refinery officers shared their experiences and memories of working at the Panipat Refinery, inspiring those present with their stories of challenges and triumphs.

Messages from Chairman A. S. Sahney and Director (Refineries) Arvind Kumar were read out, congratulating the team on their achievements and appreciating their hard work. M. L. Dahriya addressed the gathering, commending Team Refinery for their dedication and emphasizing the importance of maintaining high safety standards during project execution.

In the evening, a cultural programme was organized, featuring performances by students of Delhi Public School and members of the Vidushi Club. The event was a grand success, making the celebration truly memorable for all involved.

To mark the occasion, sweets were distributed among nearly 30,000 to 35,000 contract workers across the refinery, sharing the joy of the special day with the entire workforce.
