MP's Janapav Gets ₹17-Crore Revamp

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav performed the 'Bhoomi Pujan' of Parshuram Lok and Shri Krishna Lok at Janapav in Madhya Pradesh on Friday. The event marked the beginning of a ₹17-crore makeover for the sacred site, which is the birthplace of Maharishi Parashuram and the origin of seven and a half rivers.

According to CM Yadav, Janapav is a glorious and sacred land where Lord Shri Krishna received the Sudarshan Chakra from Maharishi Parashuram. He emphasized the importance of the site, stating that it is a matter of good fortune to remember Lord Shri Krishna here on the occasion of Janmashtami.

The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of the Sudarshan Chakra in Lord Krishna's life, citing its role as a powerful weapon for the protection of Dharma and truth. He also referred to the Shishupal episode, where Lord Krishna forgave him for up to a hundred mistakes before ultimately killing him to protect Dharma.

CM Yadav noted that Madhya Pradesh has a deep connection with Lord Ram and Krishna, and the government plans to develop all the places where these deities set foot in the state as pilgrimage sites. This includes Chitrakoot Dham, areas associated with Rukmini Haran, and war sites in Dhar district.

The ₹17-crore project at Janapav includes the redevelopment of Yagya Kund, the construction of a grand auditorium, meditation cottages, an herbal garden, and a multipurpose building. A ropeway is also being built as part of the development.

The launch event was attended by several dignitaries, including Rajya Sabha member Kavita Patidar, MLA Usha Thakur, and district panchayat president Reena Malviya. A large number of devotees were also present to witness the occasion.

The development of Janapav is expected to boost religious tourism in the state, following the success of similar projects such as Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain. The government aims to showcase the state's rich cultural heritage and promote pilgrimage sites associated with Lord Ram and Krishna.

The project is a significant investment in the state's tourism infrastructure, and is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy. With its rich history and cultural significance, Janapav is poised to become a major religious tourism centre in Madhya Pradesh.

The development of Janapav is a testament to the government's commitment to preserving and promoting the state's cultural heritage. The project is expected to attract a large number of devotees and tourists, and will play a significant role in showcasing the state's rich history and traditions.

In conclusion, the ₹17-crore makeover of Janapav is a significant development that is expected to boost religious tourism in Madhya Pradesh. The project is a testament to the government's commitment to preserving and promoting the state's cultural heritage, and is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy.
