CR TTE, RPF Reunite Boy With Mother At Pune Station

A five-year-old boy was accidentally left behind at Pune railway station while travelling with his mother on the Dadar–Tirunelveli Chalukya Express. The incident occurred on the night of August 5 aboard Train No. 11021.

The boy's mother, Revathi, was travelling in coach S6 when she realised her son was missing after the train left Pune. It was later found that the child had inadvertently deboarded the train at Pune along with another passenger.

On being alerted, TTE Shambhu Kumar Yadav immediately informed Train Conductor Arvind Mahato, the Chief Crew Controller at Pune, and the Railway Protection Force (RPF). He also shared the child's photograph with the RPF team.

Responding swiftly, RPF personnel at Pune located and secured the child within 10 minutes. After verifying the child's identity through the photograph, Revathi got down at the next scheduled halt, Satara, and returned to Pune, where she was safely reunited with her son.

The entire process, from the boy being reported missing to being reunited with his mother, took place within a short span of time, thanks to the prompt action of the TTE and RPF personnel.

Central Railway praised the quick response of the TTE and RPF personnel, saying their timely coordination ensured the child was traced without delay. The incident highlights the importance of swift action and coordination between railway staff in such situations.
