Nashik FDA Receives 124 Food Safety Complaints Online

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Nashik has received 124 online complaints related to food safety since the launch of its OneFDA portal on July 15, 2026. The portal was developed as part of the 'Safe Food, Safe Maharashtra' awareness campaign launched by Food Safety Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe.

The complaints received include 16 related to unhygienic food production and storage, 12 regarding foreign objects found in food, and 28 concerning poor-quality packaged food and labelling defects. Other complaints include the sale of expired food products, false or misleading labels, and adulteration in milk and dairy products.
