Northeast Frontier Railway Runs Special Trains
Special trains for stranded passengers, flood disrupts services

Severe flooding in and around Simaluguri town in Sivasagar district has led to the suspension of train services between Simaluguri–Namtiali and Simaluguri – Selenghat sections.
The suspension is in the interest of passenger safety and operational requirements. As a result, several long-distance trains to and from Dibrugarh and Tinsukia have been diverted via the Rangiya – Rangapara – Dibrugarh route.
Some services have been short terminated or short originated, and a few trains have been cancelled. To assist passengers affected by these disruptions, the Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to operate additional special trains.
One special train will operate between Tinsukia and Bhojo from July 22 to July 26. Train number 05911 will depart from Tinsukia at 12:00 hours and reach Bhojo at 14:00 hours on the same day.
In the return direction, train number 05912 will depart from Bhojo at 15:00 hours and reach New Tinsukia at 16:35 hours on the same day.
Another special train will operate between New Tinsukia and Moranhat from July 22 to July 26. Train number 05913 will depart from New Tinsukia at 16:45 hours and reach Moranhat at 19:30 hours on the same day.
In the return direction, train number 05914 will depart from Moranhat at 20:00 hours and reach Tinsukia at 23:00 hours on the same day.
In addition to these special trains, the Northeast Frontier Railway has already introduced three pairs of special trains between Lumding – Mariani Junction and Rangiya – Mariani Junction to facilitate stranded passengers.
The introduction of these special trains aims to provide relief to passengers affected by the flood-related disruptions.
