Four Youths Arrested For Stabbing Father, Son In Bhopal

A father and son were seriously injured in a stabbing incident in the Piplani area of Bhopal on Thursday night. The attack was allegedly carried out by four youths, including Ashish Ahirwar, Anand Valmiki, Nihal Valmiki, and Uday Valmiki, following a dispute over a mobile phone.

According to the police, the incident occurred when Ashish returned to collect his mobile phone, which he had pledged with Durgesh Yadav, a painter, a few days ago. Durgesh asked Ashish to leave the money and collect the phone the next day, leading to an argument. Ashish later returned with his three friends and allegedly assaulted Durgesh while he was having dinner.

During the attack, Ashish allegedly stabbed Durgesh on the head. When Mahesh, Durgesh's father, intervened, he too was attacked with a knife. Saroj, Mahesh's wife, was injured while attempting to save them. The suspects fled the scene after neighbours intervened.

The police registered a case, including an attempt-to-murder charge, based on Saroj's complaint. A police team later arrested all four suspects. The injured duo, Mahesh and Durgesh, has been admitted to hospital for treatment.
