Durgadas Rathore's 388th Birth Anniversary Celebrated in Aalirajpur

The Kshatriya Rathore community in Aalirajpur, Madhya Pradesh, celebrated the 388th birth anniversary of Durgadas Rathore on Thursday.

The celebrations began with a procession that started at the Ranchhod Rai Temple and passed through major city roads before concluding at the Shrinath Marriage Garden.

Jobat MLA Sena Patel was among the dignitaries who attended the event and announced that a statue of Durgadas Rathore would be unveiled in Aalirajpur on August 13, 2027.

She also assured support for naming the bus stand after freedom fighter Babulal Tawli, a move that was welcomed by the community.

Madhya Pradesh Tribal Development Council state vice-president Mahesh Patel suggested that the statue be installed at Post Office Square and announced a personal contribution of ₹5 lakh towards the project.

He also supported the proposal to name the bus stand after Tawli and urged the municipality to pass a resolution to this effect.

Other notable attendees at the event included BJP district president Santosh Maku Parwal and former MLA Mukesh Patel.

As part of the celebrations, student Ram Rathore was felicitated for his outstanding academic performance, including securing the 2,999th rank in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Mahesh Patel announced that Ram Rathore's school fees would be waived for a year, a gesture that was appreciated by the community.

The programme began with the lighting of lamps and floral tributes to Lord Ranchhod Rai and Durgadas Rathore, setting the tone for a day of celebration and reflection.
