Thane to Launch Prepaid Auto-Rickshaws

Thane city is set to introduce prepaid auto-rickshaws to eliminate disputes over fares, ride refusals, and overcharging by drivers.

The state government is expected to approve the proposal by Monday, according to local MLA Sanjay Kelkar.

Kelkar made the announcement after a joint meeting with traffic police and Regional Transport Office (RTO) officials to address traffic bottlenecks in the city.
