MP Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal Reviews ₹267-Crore Dhar Medical College

Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal on Friday inspected the construction site of the medical college in Dhar and directed officials to accelerate the work. The ₹267-crore project, which includes a medical college, hospital, hostel, and staff quarters, is being constructed on 25 acres of land.

Barnwal, accompanied by CM Mohan Yadav's secretary Dr Sudam Khade, reviewed the work plan and progress of the project. He expressed displeasure that the construction had not commenced at the expected pace and directed officials to ensure both speed and quality.

The medical college complex comprises five blocks, including a six-storey college building, seven-storey hospital, and nine-storey hostel and staff quarters. The project is being developed as a 'G+7' structure.

During his visit, Barnwal also interacted with Class 12 Arts and Mathematics students at a girls' residential complex under the Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan 2026. He asked about their studies, activities, and career aspirations, and also discussed his journey in administrative services.

Collector Rajiv Ranjan Meena, SP Sachin Sharma, assistant commissioner, Tribal Affairs Department, Parul Vyas Jain, and CMHO Dr Anita Singare were present during the inspection.

The medical college project is expected to be completed within the stipulated timeframe, with Barnwal stressing the importance of regular monitoring of the work to ensure quality and timely completion.
