ED Uncovers KPSC Paper Leak, Training Racket in Karnataka
ED raids 18 premises, reveals paper leak and training center racket. KPSC Chairman suspended.

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has uncovered an alleged paper leak and training center racket in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruitment process.
The ED conducted raids on 18 premises across Karnataka, including the residence of KPSC Secretary and middlemen, over a period of 46 hours. The raids started on Wednesday and went on till Thursday evening.
During the interrogation, the ED learnt that apart from Veterinary doctors selections, where 400 vacancies were filled and the middlemen allegedly collected ₹80 lakh from the successful candidates, similar operations were carried out in the earlier recruitments conducted by the KPSC.
The candidates, who were willing to be part of this selection process and paid money, were taken to a resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru city, where they were given the question papers and were trained for two days in solving the question papers.
The ED has also contacted the students who had paid money to get selected as government Veterinary doctors through KPSC selection. When the ED started questioning their sources of income, especially being paid through cash, the candidates started pleading to become 'approvers', requesting the ED not to make them the accused, as it would affect their future.
Karnataka Governor Thavarchand Gehlot had suspended KPSC Chairman Shivashankarappa Sahukar after he had clandestinely got the job for his daughters as Industrial Extension Officers by producing false income certificates. Subsequently, the issue of 'cash for job' video, where the middlemen had demanded ₹80 lakh from the aspirants of Veterinary doctors post, was leaked, leading to the suspension of the selection process itself.
The ED has intimated the SIT officials about the pattern, asking them to probe into the earlier recruitment process of the KPSC. The ED also questioned Shivashankarappa Sahukar's daughters separately.
The KPSC recruitment row has raised questions about the transparency and fairness of the selection process. The ED's investigation has revealed a complex web of corruption and deceit, involving middlemen, candidates, and officials.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and calls for greater accountability and transparency in the recruitment process. The Karnataka government has been under pressure to take action against those involved in the scam.
The ED's investigation is ongoing, and it is expected to reveal more details about the extent of the corruption and the involvement of officials and middlemen. The case has highlighted the need for greater vigilance and oversight in the recruitment process to prevent such scams from occurring in the future.
The KPSC recruitment row has significant implications for the state of Karnataka and the country as a whole. It highlights the need for greater transparency and accountability in the recruitment process and the importance of ensuring that those involved in corruption are held accountable.
In conclusion, the ED's investigation into the KPSC recruitment row has revealed a complex web of corruption and deceit. The case has significant implications for the state of Karnataka and the country as a whole, and it highlights the need for greater transparency and accountability in the recruitment process.
