UP Govt Sanctions ₹11.37 Crore For Student Learning Kits

The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned ₹11.37 crore under the PM SHRI Scheme to provide Teaching-Learning Material (TLM), Student Learning Kits, and Student Diaries to primary and composite schools.

The initiative, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aims to make classroom teaching more effective and learning more useful for children of Classes 1 to 5.

Director General, School Education, and State Project Director Monika Rani has issued instructions to all District Basic Education Officers on the use and implementation of the sanctioned funds.

The TLM will include materials such as cardboard, chart paper, sketch pens, and globes, which will help children understand concepts and provide diverse learning opportunities.

Student Learning Kits will be provided to every student in Classes 1 to 5, including worksheets, practice and activity-based material, and colorful workbooks.

The kits will be distributed during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) in the presence of parents.

The government has also directed schools to print and display Nipun Lakshya, table, and IEC material in classrooms by October 15, 2026.

The material required to prepare TLM will be procured by October 15, and teachers will prepare the TLM by October 31.

A 'Nipun TLM Mela Utsav' will be organized at Block Resource Centers, where teachers will display excellent and innovative TLM developed on various subjects and concepts.

The event will encourage the use of effective classroom materials and their sharing with other schools.

District-level officials will carry out supervision, and officials will track procurement and use based on data received through Support Supervision, the Prerna Portal, and Vidya Samiksha Kendra.
