Pune School Celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas With Patriotic Week

Suryadatta National School in Pune celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with a series of patriotic activities, aiming to instill patriotism and respect for the Indian Armed Forces among students.

The celebrations, inspired by Prof Dr Sanjay B Chordiya, Founder President of Suryadatta Education Foundation, and guided by Vice President Sushama S Chordiya, included a special morning assembly and an inspirational interactive session.

The chief guest, Sudhir Chouhan, Former Store Petty Officer (SPO) of the Indian Navy, shared his experiences and inspired students to embrace patriotism, discipline, and selfless service to the nation.

Students presented informative speeches highlighting the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the heroic achievements of the Indian Army during the 1999 Kargil War.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, the National Anthem, and an interactive session where students engaged with the chief guest.

As part of Kargil Vijay Diwas Week, various inter-house competitions were organised to encourage patriotism and creativity among students.

These competitions included colouring, drawing, essay-writing, and letter-writing, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students.

The celebrations aimed to pay tribute to the unparalleled bravery of the country's soldiers and to instill values of national pride, discipline, and responsibility among students.

The Kargil War, fought in 1999, was a significant conflict between India and Pakistan, and Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on July 26 to commemorate the victory of the Indian Armed Forces.
