Jayakwadi Dam Reaches Full Capacity

The Jayakwadi Dam has reached its full capacity of 100% due to significant inflows from heavy rains in the Nashik and Ahilyanagar regions. This development has brought relief to the Marathwada region, which relies heavily on the dam for its water needs.

District Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat has instructed the Water Resources Department to prepare a plan for the responsible use of the available water. Shirsat issued these instructions while performing the Jal Pujan of the Nath Sagar reservoir at Paithan on Saturday. The minister directed the department to start planning immediately to manage the available stock effectively and avoid future shortages.
