Yogi Govt Empowers Gorakhpur Woman

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Government has been working towards economically empowering rural women through the National Rural Livelihood Mission. One such example is Kaushalya Devi, a resident of Barhi village in Gorakhpur, who has established a thriving animal husbandry business.

A few years ago, Kaushalya Devi had only 3 cows and was struggling to get the expected returns due to limited resources and market access. However, after joining the Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Milk Producer Organisation (MPO), she received training, technical guidance, and better milk marketing facilities.

This support enabled her to expand her dairy business, and today she has 14 animals and supplies around 70 litres of milk to the MPO every day. Her hard work paid off, earning her around Rs 11.50 lakh in the first year and Rs 14 lakh in one and a half years.

The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) also installed a gobargas unit at her home, reducing expenditure on household fuel and increasing the family's savings. Kaushalya Devi's success story has reached the state and national levels, with her sharing her experiences with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and interacting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
