Collector Orders 100% Child Vaccination in Aalirajpur

Collector Neetu Mathur of Aalirajpur district in Madhya Pradesh has ordered a 100% child vaccination drive across the district.

This directive was issued during a joint review meeting of the District Health Committee and the Women and Child Development Department, which Collector Mathur chaired.

The meeting focused on strengthening maternal and child healthcare, nutrition, and vaccination services in the district. Collector Mathur reviewed various aspects of healthcare, including first-trimester registration of pregnant women, identification and treatment of high-risk pregnancies, anaemia screening, and management of pregnancy-induced hypertension.

In addition to maternal healthcare, Collector Mathur reviewed the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, child and adolescent health schemes, Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres, and other public health initiatives.

She directed officials to ensure timely treatment and adequate nutritional support for beneficiaries, and instructed them to launch a drive to achieve 100% vaccination of eligible children.

To promote child health and nutrition, Collector Mathur declared the coming week as Healthy Child Week.

She also directed regular monitoring of Anganwadi centres, screening for breast and cervical cancer, and strict action against quacks.

Collector Mathur emphasized the need for better coordination between the Health and Women and Child Development departments to improve the implementation of welfare schemes and enhance health outcomes.
