MP Teachers Must Complete 6-Hour Duty

The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) in Madhya Pradesh has introduced stricter e-attendance rules for teachers and school employees. As of now, it is mandatory for them to complete a six-hour working day and mark their attendance only through the official Humare Shikshak app.

The decision comes after reports emerged of teachers using the education portal's website to mark their attendance and falsifying their locations. To prevent this, the department has stopped allowing attendance to be marked through the website and has made it compulsory to use the Humare Shikshak mobile application.

On Monday, the commissioner issued instructions via video conferencing, stating that teachers and school employees must mark their attendance between 9:45 am and 10:45 am. Any attendance marked after 10:45 am will not be considered valid, and the employee will be held responsible for the delay.

The department has also issued a warning to teachers and students due to the heavy rains and rising water levels in the state's rivers and streams. They have been advised not to attempt to cross swollen water bodies to reach school or mark their attendance.

Teachers who are unable to reach school due to flooding have been instructed to inform the school principal and Sankul principal instead of risking their lives. This move aims to ensure the safety of teachers and students while also maintaining the integrity of the e-attendance system.
