Coast Guard Seizes ₹10 Lakh, Liquor From Suspected Smuggling Boat Off Mumbai

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) intercepted a suspicious fishing boat off the coast of Mumbai on Thursday, September 11, 2026, and recovered concealed cash worth ₹10 lakh and illicit liquor.

The ICG received a tip-off regarding unauthorised activities being carried out near an offshore oil rig close to Mumbai coast, which led to the diversion of its Advanced Patrol Vessel to investigate the area.
