Thailand Cuts Visa-Free Stay For Indians To 30 Days

Thailand will reduce the visa-free stay period for Indian tourists from 60 days to 30 days starting September 15, 2026. The Embassy of India in Thailand issued an advisory citing a notification from the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand.

The new rule will apply to Indian passport holders traveling to Thailand for tourism, who will continue to be exempt from visa requirements but will be allowed to stay for a maximum of 30 days. This revised rule will also apply to tourists from 59 other countries, including New Zealand, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Italy, the Philippines, South Africa, and Spain.
