An assistant professor at Shivalik College of Engineering in Dehradun has been banned for life from all academic activities by Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University.

The decision was made after allegations surfaced that Ashish Kumar Gupta had leaked semester exam question papers.

Gupta was accused of preparing the question paper for Machine Learning for Internet of Things and sharing the questions with some students via WhatsApp and an internal portal.

The incident has sparked a wider conversation about the need for stricter measures to prevent exam leaks and ensure the fairness of the examination process.
