3 Lakh Devotees Visit Bhilat Dev Temple on Nag Panchami

On Monday, the Bhilat Dev temple at Nangalwadi Shikhar Dham in Sendhwa, Madhya Pradesh, witnessed a massive footfall of over three lakh devotees on the occasion of Nag Panchami. Despite light rain and fog in the area, devotees flocked to the temple to offer prayers and seek blessings.

The administration and police made elaborate arrangements to manage the large crowd. Devotees had been arriving since Sunday night, and vehicles were restricted on the nearly 3.5-km hilly route, forcing devotees to walk to the temple amid rain and fog. Visitors reportedly took more than two hours to reach the temple and waited around two hours in queues for brief darshan.

The Nag Panchami festival was also celebrated at other temples in the region, including the Nag Devta temple in Jalud, where over 15,000 devotees visited. District Panchayat President Anubai Tanwar inaugurated the fair, and Nag Devta was offered an 11-quintal churma mahaprasad.

In Khetia, a large number of devotees visited the ancient Nagnath Temple, offering prayers and seeking blessings for prosperity. The temple witnessed increased footfall due to the festival falling on Monday.

In Khachrod, devotees thronged the Shri Neelkantheshwar Mahadev Temple, offering prayers and performing Abhishek. They also visited the Tejaji Temple to seek blessings for their families.
