16 Trains Cancelled Till October 15 Due To Bina Station Yard Remodelling

The Bina station yard in Madhya Pradesh is undergoing remodelling work to connect the third railway line between Agasod and Bina. The work is being carried out by North Central Railway and is expected to be completed in three phases.

The first phase, 'Pre-to-Pre-Non-Interlocking', started on August 14 and will continue until August 31, 2026. The second phase, 'Pre-Non-Interlocking', will run from September 1 to October 12, 2026, and the final phase, 'Non-Interlocking', will take place from October 13 to October 15, 2026.

To ensure safe and smooth train operations during this period, several trains have been cancelled, diverted, or scheduled for short-termination/short-origination. The stoppage time at Bina station has also been reduced for some trains.

A total of 16 trains have been cancelled during the specified periods of the Bina yard remodelling work. These include the Bhopal-Gwalior Express, Lalitpur-Bina Express, and several other trains. The cancellation period and total number of trips for each service have been notified.

Train No. 12197, the Bhopal-Gwalior Express, and Train No. 12198, the Gwalior-Bhopal Express, will remain cancelled from October 1 to October 15, 2026, with a total of 15 trips each. Other trains, such as the Gwalior-SMVT Bengaluru Express and the SMVT Bengaluru-Gwalior Express, will also be cancelled on specific dates.

Additionally, several long-distance trains passing through Bina will be operated via an alternative route on scheduled dates to ensure safe and smooth train operations during the construction work.
