Kusha Kapila Denies Fake Posts About Samay Raina

Actress and influencer Kusha Kapila has reacted strongly to viral social media posts claiming she used comedian Samay Raina for fame and wanted to be on his show, India's Got Latent.

On Sunday, July 12, Kusha shared screenshots of the Instagram posts, calling them 'fake and seeded' and alleging they were created to spread misinformation and damage her image.

The viral posts claimed that Kusha had met Samay and convinced him to invite her on his show, and also suggested that she was 'hanging out' with the comedian despite previously criticising him for making insensitive jokes about her.

One of the posts went further, calling Kusha 'a woman who can change for money and fame' and featured a digitally altered image of Samay with a woman, whose face had been replaced with Kusha's.

Kusha wrote on her Instagram story, expressing her frustration at the attempts to 'minimise' her and questioning why someone would spend time and money creating such fake posts.

In another story, she wrote that she would calmly and reasonably fact-check the claims, and stated that the attempts to discredit her were a result of her taking a stand and speaking out.

Kusha also addressed her past fallout with Samay, admitting that she had blocked him after he made insensitive jokes about her during a comedy roast in 2024.

She clarified that they are not friends, but have moved on from the controversy, and dismissed the viral claims, stating that she has never appeared on India's Got Latent and does not hang out with Samay.

The controversy comes against the backdrop of Kusha and Samay's public fallout following the comedy roast, where Samay made jokes about Kusha, including remarks related to her divorce from Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia.

Kusha later said that the jokes crossed several boundaries and felt 'dehumanising', and blocked Samay and the host, Ashish Solanki, on Instagram.

Months later, Samay acknowledged that although they were no longer as close, he still cared about Kusha and wished her well.

By early 2025, the equation between the two appeared to improve, with Samay giving Kusha a friendly mention on India's Got Latent, and they were later reportedly seen together at social gatherings.

The incident highlights the challenges faced by women in the public eye, who are often subject to misinformation and attempts to discredit them.

Kusha's response to the fake posts has sparked a conversation about the importance of fact-checking and the need to support women who speak out against injustice.

As a prominent influencer and actress, Kusha's stance against misinformation and her commitment to speaking out against insensitive comments are significant, and her actions are likely to inspire others to do the same.

In conclusion, the controversy surrounding Kusha Kapila and Samay Raina serves as a reminder of the importance of verifying information and supporting women who take a stand against injustice, and Kusha's response to the fake posts is a testament to her strength and commitment to speaking out against misinformation.
