Aaditya Thackeray Attacks CM Fadnavis Over Hinjawadi Infrastructure
Aaditya Thackeray slams CM Devendra Fadnavis, calls him 'Alice in Wonderland' over Hinjawadi's poor infrastructure. Thackeray urges Fadnavis to visit Hinjawadi and review problems.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was attacked by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday over the poor infrastructure in Hinjawadi, Pune. Thackeray said the government was ignoring basic problems such as potholes, traffic congestion, water supply, electricity, and garbage in the area.
Thackeray visited the Hinjawadi IT Park and interacted with residents, employees, and engineers. He said the area was facing an 'absolute collapse of infrastructure' and warned that continued problems could force companies to leave and lead to job losses. Thackeray claimed that around 15 to 20 lakh people depend on the IT sector in the Hinjawadi area, but they continue to face long traffic jams, poor roads, and a lack of footpaths.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said that travelling between Hinjawadi Phase 3 and Phase 1 can take one and a half to two hours because of traffic congestion. He also claimed that no new company had come to Hinjawadi in the past three to four years due to the poor infrastructure. Thackeray said existing companies could also consider moving out if the problems continue.
Thackeray alleged that there was no proper coordination between the three gram panchayats, the Public Works Department (PWD), and PMRDA, which operate in the area. He said that if the Chief Minister wishes, he can align all agencies in a single row and solve the problems of the IT Park and MIDC area quickly.
Thackeray urged the Chief Minister to personally visit Hinjawadi and review the problems. He also suggested monthly meetings to check the progress of different departments. Thackeray linked the infrastructure crisis to the future of jobs and businesses in Maharashtra, saying that the state has to suffer if the problems are not addressed.
The issue of poor infrastructure in Hinjawadi is not new, and local entrepreneurs, organisations, and citizens had met Fadnavis last year to raise the issues. However, Thackeray claimed that the situation had remained unchanged. Thackeray's attack on Fadnavis is a significant development in the ongoing debate over the state of infrastructure in Maharashtra.
The Hinjawadi IT Park is a major hub for the IT sector in Maharashtra, and the poor infrastructure in the area is a major concern for the companies operating there. The lack of basic facilities such as water supply, electricity, and garbage management is affecting the daily lives of the people working in the area.
Thackeray's call for the Chief Minister to visit Hinjawadi and review the problems is a step in the right direction. The state government needs to take immediate action to address the infrastructure crisis in Hinjawadi and ensure that the area remains a hub for the IT sector.
In conclusion, the poor infrastructure in Hinjawadi is a major concern that needs to be addressed immediately. The state government needs to take a proactive approach to solve the problems and ensure that the area remains a hub for the IT sector. The future of jobs and businesses in Maharashtra depends on it.
