Indore Zoo Gets State's First 14-D Theatre

The city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh is set to unveil two new attractions on August 16, with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav scheduled to inaugurate the state's first 14-D theatre at Indore Zoo and a new swimming pool at Nehru Park.

The 14-D theatre, located at Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya, is expected to be a major draw for children and families, offering an immersive experience with 360-degree visuals, motion-enabled seating, and other sensory effects. The facility has been built at a cost of around Rs 3 crore and aims to combine entertainment with wildlife awareness, providing visitors with a technology-based experience related to animals and nature.

In addition to the 14-D theatre, a new swimming pool at Nehru Park will strengthen Indore's public sports and fitness infrastructure, providing residents with another organized venue for swimming, exercise, and recreational activities. The swimming pool is intended to benefit children, youngsters, and residents, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

Other projects in the pipeline include a 0.95-km-long and 45-metre-wide road between Sudama Nagar and Vishwakarma Nagar, which will improve connectivity between Annapurna Road and Ring Road. The road project has cost Rs 16.61 crore and includes a cement-concrete road, storm-water line, sewer-chamber strengthening, green belt, footpaths, central lighting, and electrical-line shifting.

Chief Minister Yadav will also perform the 'bhoomipujan' for a statue of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the garden at Dussehra Maidan, aimed at preserving his memory and introducing his legacy to younger generations.
