Pagara Dam Opens 6 Gates Amid Heavy Rains In Madhya Pradesh

The Pagara Dam in Madhya Pradesh's Jaura area has opened six auto-tilting gates as continuous rain pushed its water level above the Full Tank Level (FTL). The dam's water level reached 200.55 metres, exceeding its FTL of 199.33 metres.

As a result, a large amount of water, approximately 48,831 cusecs, is being released through the six gates. The decision to open the gates was made to reduce pressure on the reservoir and prevent any potential damage.
