Kamlapur Residents Suffer Due To Lack Of Roads, Sewage Issues
Residents of Kamlapur struggle with muddy roads and overflowing sewage. Basic amenities are lacking.

Residents of Hanumannagar in the Kamlapur area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar have been facing severe infrastructure issues for years. The absence of paved roads has forced them to wade through mud every monsoon season, which has been the case for the past seven years.
The poor infrastructure has also led to serious health concerns, with residents struggling with muddy roads, foul odour, and mosquito infestation. A sewage drain passing through the area remains uncleared, resulting in frequent blockages and overflows that spill sewage onto roads and into homes.
The area was developed by private builders who purchased land from farmers and sold individual plots, allegedly earning substantial profits. However, residents claim that no basic amenities were provided in the locality. With the monsoon underway, children and elderly residents are finding it difficult to navigate the muddy roads.
Residents, including Vishal Jadhav, Yogesh Kevat, and Sushila Patange, have demanded immediate provision of basic amenities and improved healthcare facilities. They have been living in the area for the past five to six years but have not received basic amenities.
Manjula Kevat, a resident, said that sewage water enters their house during the monsoon, and they spend sleepless nights due to the foul smell. Another resident, Mauli Patange, said that the locality was developed in 2018-19, with roads initially laid using murum and debris. However, the contractors never returned, and today all the main roads are in a poor condition.
The Jogeshwari Group Gram Panchayat, which has jurisdiction over the area, was bifurcated into three separate Gram Panchayats a year ago. However, as elections have not yet been held, the administration is currently being managed by an administrator and Gram Panchayat officials.
The lack of basic amenities and poor infrastructure has made life difficult for the residents of Kamlapur. The situation is likely to worsen if the issues are not addressed promptly. The residents are hoping that the authorities will take immediate action to provide them with the basic amenities they deserve.
The issue of poor infrastructure and lack of basic amenities is not unique to Kamlapur and is a common problem in many areas of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The authorities need to take a proactive approach to address these issues and provide the residents with the basic amenities they need.
In conclusion, the residents of Kamlapur are facing severe infrastructure issues, including the lack of paved roads and overflowing sewage. The authorities need to take immediate action to address these issues and provide the residents with the basic amenities they deserve. This is essential to improve the quality of life for the residents and prevent any further health concerns.
