Maharashtra Fills 2,421 Ashram School Teacher Posts

The Maharashtra Government's Tribal Development Department has initiated a major recruitment drive to fill 2,421 vacant teaching positions in government Ashram schools.

The recruitment process will be conducted through the ‘Pavitra’ portal, and it will cover all four divisions of the Tribal Development Department: Nashik, Thane, Amravati, and Nagpur.

The Nashik division has the highest number of vacancies at 826, followed by Thane with 613, Nagpur with 514, and Amravati with 468. The vacancies include 885 posts in PESA areas and 1,536 posts in non-PESA areas.

For primary teacher posts in Marathi medium, there are 862 vacancies in non-PESA areas and 436 in PESA areas. For English-medium primary teachers, there are 67 posts in PESA areas and 161 in non-PESA areas.

Secondary teacher posts in Marathi medium comprise 352 vacancies in non-PESA areas and 138 in PESA areas. For English-medium secondary teachers, there are 5 posts in PESA areas and 22 in non-PESA areas.

A total of 357 posts are available for higher secondary teachers, covering subjects such as Marathi, English, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

The Tribal Development Commissioner, Leena Bansod, has appealed to candidates not to believe in rumors and to apply through the ‘Pavitra’ portal, which will ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.

The distinction between PESA and non-PESA areas has been made to ensure fairness for candidates from local and tribal regions.
