A shocking incident occurred in Bengaluru's Channammanakere Achukattu area on Thursday, where a 30-year-old man allegedly strangled his four-month pregnant wife to death with a nylon dog leash before using the same leash to die by suicide.

The deceased woman, identified as Swapna, was married to the accused, Manoj, a carpenter, for nearly three years. The couple lived in a joint family with Manoj's parents and other relatives in Bengaluru, although they originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh.

According to police, Manoj had not reported to work for the past four days, and the couple had been frequently arguing in recent days. On Thursday, another quarrel broke out around noon inside their bedroom, which allegedly led to the tragic incident.

The police stated that the exact cause of the deaths will be known after the investigation. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered. The police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the deaths.

The incident highlights the importance of addressing domestic violence and seeking help when needed. The couple's frequent arguments and Manoj's absence from work for four days may have contributed to the tragic incident.
