Nanded SP Urges Students To Avoid Drugs, Follow Traffic Rules

Nanded SP Neelabh Rohan recently addressed students at Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, emphasizing the need to stay away from drugs and follow traffic rules.

The awareness lecture, organized by the university's Student Development Department, National Service Scheme, and 'Swayamsiddha' women empowerment initiative, focused on drug prevention, women's safety, and traffic rules.

SP Rohan cautioned students about the dangers of drug abuse, stating that it not only harms individuals but also affects families and society. He encouraged students to use their energy constructively and highlighted the importance of the youth in the country.

Rohan also warned students about the risks associated with excessive social media use, cybercrime, and digital threats. He emphasized the need for road safety, stressing the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, controlling speed, and adhering to traffic regulations.

Additionally, Rohan urged students to use the Dial 112 emergency response service when immediate police assistance is required. Women Assistant Police Inspector Supriya Kendre briefed students on laws related to women's protection and available government mechanisms.

She encouraged women to be aware of their legal rights and urged students to promote awareness about women's safety and relevant laws in their communities. The program was well-received by students, with a large number participating both physically and through Zoom.

The event was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Dr Manohar Chaskar and attended by other dignitaries, including Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Ashok Mahajan and Registrar Dr Dnyaneshwar Pawar.
