Aditi Sharma Files Domestic Violence Complaint Against Husband

Television actress Aditi Sharma has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband, Abhineet Vidyanand Kaushik, and his family. The complaint was filed at Mumbai's Goregaon Police Station, and an FIR has been registered against Abhineet, his mother Urmila Kaushik, and sister Kirti Kaushik.

According to the complaint, Aditi has accused the three of physical and mental harassment, domestic violence, assault, verbal abuse, and misusing her stridhan (bridal jewellery). She alleged that her husband's behaviour changed soon after their wedding, and arguments frequently broke out over minor issues.

Aditi claimed that her husband would regularly ask her for money instead of contributing to household expenses. She also alleged that an argument over coffee on January 1, 2025, escalated into abuse, and her husband became suspicious of her character, accusing her of having an affair.

The complaint also mentions that Aditi's mother-in-law retained her bridal jewellery, including gold chains, rings, and a diamond ring, despite repeated requests to return it. Aditi alleged that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law supported her husband during attempts to resolve their marital disputes and continued to harass her.

The couple met during an online acting class in June 2021 and started living together in a Goregaon West apartment in September 2024. They got married on November 12, 2024, with the consent of both families.

The Goregaon Police have begun investigating the allegations, and no public statement has been issued by Abhineet or his family regarding the complaint. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are looking into the allegations of domestic violence and harassment.
