Kerala Schoolchildren Fall Ill On Train Due To Suspected Food Poisoning

A group of 15 to 20 schoolchildren from Kerala fell ill on Friday night while travelling on the Mangala Lakshadweep Express from Delhi to Kerala. The children, aged between 15 and 18, complained of vomiting, nausea, and uneasiness after eating food from the train's pantry car, raising suspicion of food poisoning.

The incident occurred when the train was nearing Khandwa railway station in Madhya Pradesh. Railway authorities received information about the children's condition and arranged for a medical team to be ready at the station. Station master GL Meena said the train departed towards Bhusawal at around 9.45 pm, and the children will be shifted to a hospital at Bhusawal if necessary.
