CM Adhikari Joins Rath Yatra Events Across West Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari participated in multiple Rath Yatra events across the state on Thursday. He began the day by taking part in the chariot rituals at Kolkata's ISKCON temple and Albert Road, where he pulled the rope of the chariot.

Adhikari also joined the monks in singing devotional songs dedicated to Lord Jagannath. He extended his greetings on the occasion of Rath Yatra, paying his respects to the holy land of Odisha and remembering Srila Prabhupada.

The Chief Minister visited the centuries-old Mahaprabhu Temple at Tamluk in East Midnapore district, where he played the 'khol' instrument while inaugurating the Rath Yatra. He stated that his visit to the Rath Yatra had no political connection and that he had been coming to the temple for the last 10 years.

Adhikari also announced that the West Bengal government would provide ₹5 lakh each to 60 Rath Yatra committees. He also mentioned that the mid-day meal for school students would be prepared by ISKCON.
