Datia By-Elections See 71.44% Polling

The by-election in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, saw a total voter turnout of 71.44% till evening, with the polling percentage likely to increase later. The polling began at 7 AM and concluded at 6 PM under tight security.

The voter turnout was higher among male voters, with 74.09% of them exercising their franchise, while 68.48% of female voters and 20% of other voters cast their ballots.

The results of the by-election will be declared on August 3 after counting. The Congress party shared a video on social media, claiming that its polling agent at polling station number 51 in Ramsagar was taken away by the police without giving any reason.
