IndianOil Aims for Energy Security

IndianOil, one of India's largest oil refiners, celebrated its 67th anniversary on September 1. Director (Refineries) Arvind Kumar led the celebrations, which were attended virtually by employees from across the Refineries Division.

In his address, Kumar reflected on IndianOil's 66-year journey and its purpose of serving the nation and securing its energy needs. He commended the teams for ensuring uninterrupted energy supplies during the recent West Asia crisis.

The company has also stepped up LPG production by nearly 35%, reducing import dependence and strengthening domestic supply security. Kumar called upon employees to respond decisively to the complex operating environment.

He also spoke about the evolving refinery landscape, which includes deeper integration with petrochemicals and the development of India's first large-scale Green Hydrogen Plant. The refinery of tomorrow must be more integrated, intelligent, energy-efficient, sustainable, and resilient.

Excellence and commitment across the workforce were recognised through various awards. Earlier in the day, Kumar visited The Blind Relief Association, Delhi, as part of IndianOil's outreach initiative, reaffirming the Corporation's commitment to inclusive education.
