Ghatkopar Businessman Dies By Suicide After Financial Losses

A 61-year-old businessman, Manish Manilal Bhayani, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a 20-storey residential building in Ghatkopar (East) on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at Building No. 14, Simarajdhani, where Bhayani had arrived to meet an acquaintance, Ashok Karsandas Solanki. However, Solanki's son, Krishna, with whom Bhayani had financial dealings, was not present.

According to the Pant Nagar police, Bhayani had arrived at the building around 9:37 am and left with Solanki at 10:40 am. He then re-entered the building alone and took the lift to the 20th floor, from where he allegedly jumped.

The police received a call around 12:30 pm reporting the incident and rushed to the spot, where they found Bhayani critically injured. He was taken to Rajawadi Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
