Maharashtra Launches 'Chala Shalet Jauya' Campaign
Maharashtra to improve schools, student facilities. Campaign to focus on basic facilities, community participation.

The Maharashtra government is set to launch a new campaign called 'Chala Shalet Jauya' (Let's Go to School) to bring about qualitative changes in schools across the state.
The campaign aims to ensure better educational facilities and a student-centric environment, according to School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse.
Bhuse directed senior education department officials to personally visit schools and assess ground realities during a one-day 'Shikshan Samvad' workshop in Mumbai.
He emphasized the importance of cleanliness, safe drinking water, clean toilets, secure school buildings, and a hygienic campus, and urged officials to encourage community participation in school maintenance and development.
Senior officials will be assigned district-wise responsibilities and will undertake special four-day tours to visit schools and review their functioning.
The minister stressed the importance of strengthening basic learning skills among students, particularly reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
He also warned that no compromise would be tolerated in the quality of mid-day meals, school uniforms, and other student facilities, and strict action would be taken against poor-quality supplies or irregularities.
Bhuse called for greater participation of parents, school management committees, and local communities, along with promotion of self-defence training, NCC, Scouts and Guides, yoga, sports, and cultural activities for students' overall development.
The campaign will focus on basic facilities, and officials have been directed to utilize District Planning Committee funds, government development schemes, and CSR resources for school development.
The minister assured that funds for school development would not be a constraint.
The 'Chala Shalet Jauya' campaign is expected to bring about significant improvements in the state's education sector.
With its focus on community participation, basic facilities, and student-centric environment, the campaign has the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of students across Maharashtra.
