Pune Realtor Murder: Siya Goyal Studied Previous Case

A shocking revelation has emerged in the investigation into the alleged murder of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal by his fiancée Siya Goyal and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary. According to police, Goyal and Chaudhary may have studied the murder plan of Sonam Raghuvanshi, who was accused of killing her husband Raja Raghuvanshi in 2025.

The similarities between the two cases are striking, with both victims being thrown off a cliff by their partners. Investigators believe that Goyal and Chaudhary may have learnt from the mistakes made in the Raghuvanshi case and prepared a more detailed plan with stronger alibis. Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore-based businessman, was found dead in a gorge near a waterfall in Meghalaya's Sohra area after he went missing during his honeymoon in 2025.

In the Ketan Agarwal case, police allege that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary killed Agarwal by pushing him into a gorge at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18. The police claim that multiple factors contributed to Goyal's decision to eliminate Agarwal, including a combination of several factors that triggered her decision.

The accused showed an intention to avoid detection by creating alibis, and neither has shown signs of remorse so far. Both have been sent to judicial custody till July 16. The case has taken a toll on Agarwal's family, with his grandfather Devichand Agarwal passing away on Saturday, July 4, nearly 16 days after his grandson's death, reportedly after suffering a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Pune.

The police are continuing their investigation into the case, and the accused will remain in judicial custody until their next hearing. The case has raised questions about the motives behind the murder and the extent to which the accused planned and executed the crime. As the investigation unfolds, more details are likely to emerge about the events leading up to the murder and the roles played by Goyal and Chaudhary.

The incident has also highlighted the importance of thorough investigation and the need for law enforcement agencies to carefully examine the evidence and motives behind such crimes. The police are working to ensure that justice is served in the case, and the accused are held accountable for their actions.

In the meantime, the family of Ketan Agarwal is still trying to come to terms with the loss of their loved one, and the community is left to grapple with the shocking nature of the crime. The case serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing the root causes of such crimes and working towards preventing similar incidents in the future.
