CM Yogi Adityanath Orders UP Officials To Ensure Kanwar Yatra Safety

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials in Uttar Pradesh to ensure the safety, convenience, and dignity of devotees participating in the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.

The CM cautioned officials to make arrangements for law and order, traffic management, health services, cleanliness, food safety, and public amenities to prevent any inconvenience to devotees.

He also instructed officials to take strict action against elements attempting to disturb communal harmony, spread rumors, or create disorder during the event.

A high-level meeting was held with senior government officials on Friday evening to review the arrangements for the Kanwar Yatra, Shravani Shivratri, Chehallum, Independence Day, Barawafat, and Raksha Bandhan.

During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary, Home, briefed the CM on the preparations, while the Divisional Commissioner, Meerut, and ADG Zone, Meerut, gave a detailed presentation on Kanwar Yatra management.

The CM directed that the preparations and action plan of the Meerut Zone be shared with all other police zones in the state to implement a uniform and effective system across Uttar Pradesh.

He emphasized the need for continuous dialogue with Kanwar associations, verification of camp operators, and advance reviews of preparations to address any shortcomings.

Coordination should be established with officials from neighboring states to ensure compliance with the prescribed Kanwar height, and regular communication should be maintained with Kanwar associations in those states.

The CM also instructed officials to prepare Kanwar Yatra routes according to the convenience of devotees and complete repairs on damaged roads.

The Kanwar Yatra is expected to attract lakhs of devotees from various regions of the state, and the CM has directed officials to maintain a uniform standard of arrangements in every district.

The local administration has been instructed to maintain continuous dialogue with Kanwar associations and complete the verification of camp operators well in time.
