Uttarakhand Plans Statewide Skill Hub

A review meeting was held at the Secretariat in Dehradun on Friday to discuss schemes related to skill development and employment in Uttarakhand. The meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, focused on designing skill development programmes according to the current and future requirements of industries.

Currently, 119 ITIs are operational in the state, with 90 already mapped on the portal. Tata Technologies has started short-term training courses in ITIs. Discussions have been held with three agencies to provide training as per global standards at Skill India International Centres.

The registration of private employers is also being carried out on the Rojgar Prayag portal, with 162 employers added so far. The state aims to provide employment opportunities to youth through these initiatives.
