Four Injured in Indore Auto-Rickshaw Crash

A serious road accident occurred on Sunday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, when a speeding car collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on MR-4 Road near Laxmibai Railway Station. The accident resulted in injuries to four people, including the auto-rickshaw driver.

The auto-rickshaw, driven by Vishal Bhagwat, was travelling from Rajwada towards Laxmibai Railway Station with three women passengers, Geeta Kaithwas, Ritu Kaithwas, and Neha Kaithwas. The speeding sedan, allegedly driven recklessly by 20-year-old Deepak Chouhan, rammed into the auto-rickshaw from the front, crushing its front portion.

According to ACP Rubina Mizwani, the accident happened near Bhairav Baba Temple. The impact of the collision injured the driver and all three passengers. Locals, enraged by the accident, allegedly assaulted the car driver and vandalised the vehicle before he fled the scene.

Witnesses and local residents gathered at the spot, and a video of the incident later went viral on social media. A First Response Vehicle and a Banganga police team reached the spot, brought the situation under control, and shifted the injured to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
