EOW Finds ₹11 Crore Assets of PWD Engineer in Bhopal
PWD engineer's properties worth ₹11 crore found, EOW conducts searches

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) conducted searches at three premises linked to a Public Works Department (PWD) executive engineer in a disproportionate assets case.
The searches were carried out at the government accommodation of PWD executive engineer Kamalkishore Singare in Balaghat and his residences in Chhindwara and Bhopal.
Singare had been posted in Balaghat for the past 14 months and had been accused of demanding commission from contractors in exchange for clearing construction bills.
A complaint was lodged against him with the EOW in Jabalpur on July 13, following which the action was initiated.
The EOW teams found property worth ₹11 crore, including land, houses, cash, gold and silver jewellery, vehicles, and household inventory.
In Chhindwara, the EOW found land and a house worth ₹3 crore, cash worth ₹7.50 lakh, household inventory worth ₹1 crore, gold jewellery worth ₹52 lakh, and silver jewellery worth ₹1.20 lakh.
A shopping complex worth ₹1.50 crore was also found in Chhindwara.
The EOW also found 12 bank accounts in different banks and has written a letter to the banks to provide the details.
In addition to the properties found in Chhindwara, the EOW also found a farmhouse with land and construction worth ₹2 crore, a tractor worth ₹8 lakh, a trolley worth ₹1.50 lakh, and agriculture equipment worth ₹5 lakh.
In Balaghat, the EOW found cash worth ₹2.50 lakh, while in Bhopal, land and a house worth ₹2 crore and household inventories worth ₹3.50 lakh were found.
The discovery of such large assets has raised questions about the source of the funds and the accused's lifestyle.
The EOW's action is a significant step in investigating corruption and disproportionate assets cases.
The case highlights the need for greater transparency and accountability in public offices.
The accused's actions, if proven, would be a breach of trust and a violation of the public's faith in the system.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
