Gadchiroli Police Arrest 6 For Fake Maoist Banners

The Gadchiroli police have arrested six individuals for allegedly creating panic by displaying fake Maoist banners and pamphlets in the area. The incident occurred near the Hidur-Dobur Marg, approximately 8 kilometres from Pomke Fulnar, where unknown miscreants placed a red cloth banner and white paper pamphlets featuring written text designed to incite fear among the public.

The Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police, M. Ramesh, ordered an immediate investigation into the matter, and a case was registered at Kothi Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and the Maharashtra Police Act.

Utilising technical evidence and confidential informant networks, a police team tracked down and apprehended six suspects, identified as Joga Renu Dhurva, Malu Kande Ghurva, Dalsu Marra Telami, Chaitu Dunga Dhurva, Ganesh Devu Alami, and Rajesh Dalsu Vadde. All the suspects are residents of villages in Bhamragad taluka of Gadchiroli district.

SP M. Ramesh commended the police team for their prompt action and reiterated his appeal to the public to remain calm and vigilant. He warned that strict legal consequences await anyone attempting to disrupt peace or foster an atmosphere of fear in the region.
