Indore Food Safety Team Seizes ₹12.21 Lakh Suspected Ghee

The Food Safety Administration in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, conducted inspections at four food businesses on Monday.

The inspections resulted in the collection of 31 food samples for laboratory testing.

The team seized over 2,165 kg/litres of suspected ghee worth approximately ₹12.21 lakh.

One unit operating without a valid food licence was shut down.

A joint inspection was carried out at Shri Enterprises in Sudama Nagar.

The establishment was found to be functioning without the mandatory licence under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

As a result, officials closed the unit and collected eight ghee samples.

They also seized 1,115.4 kg/litres of suspected ghee worth ₹7.46 lakh pending laboratory analysis.

At Duggu Enterprises in Dream City, Talawali Chanda, officials collected 14 samples of ghee sourced from Gujarat.

About 1,050 kg of suspected ghee worth ₹4.75 lakh was seized for testing.

The team also collected samples of milk, khoa, paneer, ghee, milk cake, and milk katli from Kishanlal Mayaram Pvt Ltd in Polo Ground.

Milk and paneer samples were collected from Satguru Milk Product.

All the collected samples will be tested at the State Food Testing Laboratory in Bhopal.

If any product fails to meet food safety standards, legal action will be initiated.
