Prince Rahim Aga Khan V Visits Mumbai

Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the 50th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims and Chair of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), will visit Mumbai from September 12 to 14.

During his stay, the Aga Khan is scheduled to meet Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, as well as members of the local Ismaili community.

This marks his first visit to India since assuming the Imamat in February 2025 following the passing of his father, Prince Karim Aga Khan IV.

Prior to his visit to Mumbai, the Aga Khan was in New Delhi, where he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and other senior leaders.

In a meeting with Prime Minister Modi, the Aga Khan expressed gratitude for India's ongoing support of AKDN initiatives, highlighting how the network’s efforts closely align with national development priorities under the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
