UP Raises Fair Price Shop Dealers' Commission To ₹125 Per Quintal

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a significant increase in the commission of Fair Price Shop dealers in Uttar Pradesh, raising it by ₹35 to ₹125 per quintal. This move is expected to bring relief to dealers across the state.

The announcement was made during a programme held at Lok Bhavan, where the Chief Minister also launched the e-POS-based Fair Price Shop Dealer Feedback System under the Single Stage Door-Step Delivery system.

The ₹35 increase in margin money includes an increase of ₹10 by the Central Government and ₹25 by the State Government. The State Government has also written to the Government of India seeking a further increase of ₹25 in the commission.

Fair Price Shop dealers have welcomed the move, expressing their gratitude to the Chief Minister. Dinesh Chandra Dwivedi, a dealer from Mohanlalganj, said that the increase in commission would provide considerable relief to dealers.

Rakesh Tiwari, a dealer from Mal Block, said that the Single Stage Delivery system has ensured that dealers receive the full ration allocation and beneficiaries face no difficulty in receiving the prescribed quantity of ration.
