UP Invites Taiwanese Tech Firms to Invest

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is actively working to establish the state as a global hub for semiconductors, electronics, and advanced technology.

To achieve this goal, the state government presented investment opportunities to leading Taiwanese tech companies at the 'SEMICON 2026' event held in Taipei from September 2 to 4.

The event provided a platform for the state to showcase its investment-friendly policies, ready industrial infrastructure, skilled human resources, and rapidly developing electronics ecosystem.

A delegation from Uttar Pradesh, led by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Electronics and IT, participated in the India-Taiwan Semiconductor Forum and met with senior leaders of Taiwanese companies, including Creative Sensor Inc., MediaTek, ADATA Technology, and the TIBA Business Association.

The delegation discussed potential investment opportunities, joint ventures, and long-term collaboration in areas such as chip manufacturing, sensors, data centers, and supply chain localization.

Alok Kumar highlighted the state's industrial infrastructure, progressive incentive policies, skilled workforce, and plans to develop a robust technology manufacturing ecosystem.

The state government also informed Taiwanese companies about investment opportunities in sensor modules, electronics manufacturing, application engineering, testing, and comprehensive supply chain localization.

The Yogi government's policies are aligned with national programs such as ISM 2.0, ECMS, and MPMS, as well as the Uttar Pradesh Semiconductor Policy-2024 and the Uttar Pradesh FDI Policy-2023.

Invest UP, YEIDA, and the IT and Electronics Department are facilitating investors through industrial infrastructure, policy incentives, and simplified approval processes.

The state's large land bank, proximity to NCR, skilled workforce, strong supplier base, and rapidly expanding electronics ecosystem are being presented as major investment advantages.

The government's objective is to establish Uttar Pradesh among the country's leading investment destinations in the semiconductor and advanced technology sectors.

This initiative is expected to contribute to the state's economic growth and development, and provide opportunities for strategic partnerships and investments in the tech industry.

With its investment-friendly policies and rapidly developing electronics ecosystem, Uttar Pradesh is poised to become a major player in the global tech industry.

The state government's efforts to attract Taiwanese tech companies are a significant step towards achieving this goal.

As the tech industry continues to grow and evolve, Uttar Pradesh is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities.

The state's strong infrastructure, skilled workforce, and business-friendly environment make it an attractive destination for tech companies looking to invest and expand in India.
