Pune Deputy CM Forms Task Force To Tackle Hinjawadi Traffic

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sunetra Pawar, has announced the formation of a special task force to tackle the traffic and infrastructure crisis in Hinjawadi, Maan, and Marunji. Six new parallel roads have been planned near Bhujbal, Laxmi, and Hinjawadi Chowks to reduce traffic pressure, with the land acquisition process underway. Additionally, authorities are working on plans to bring water from Pavana Dam and improve supply through the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran scheme to address water shortages.

However, FITE state president Pavanjit Mane has expressed skepticism, stating that similar plans have been announced in the past but failed to materialize. FITE has planned a protest in Hinjawadi on September 6 to highlight the area's poor infrastructure and has requested authorities to explain their plans to IT employees and residents.
